Incentives for STLs to shed FT people?

I'm talking about EVA or other bonuses; does anyone know what incentives STLs have to get rid of as many full-timers in their stores as possible? Is there any information out there that anyone can share? I began to wonder about this because my STL looked so relieved when I told them I'll take severance.

those guys make the money or bonus by bringing the store labor budget in line every period...by getting rid of full time team members they cut labor costs/benefits costs...severance was a regional decision but random firings of the full timers look to your STL...

Not necessarily. There can be a per severance bonus for the STLs. So even if it affects the store ledger the STL might still be making bank on this mess. It wouldn't be surprising at all.

severance payment comes out of the store bottom line= your STL makes LESS money, not more.
