Wife of the PGL, it sounds like you have a stand up man, as folks in that position are expected to not share confidential information. I don't understand the fascination with how many people get impacted. They should only worry about themselves. the ones that want to get rid of all PGLs should look at themselves and ask why they haven't achieved a higher position.

Maybe they spend more time sticking their noses where it doesn't belong rather then making a hand???

Finished the layoffs for now... that's what the managers told us. I hate seeing people leave, but it seems some of the PGL'S took the easy ones. Didn't see some of the dead weight walked out. Just because they have been here don't mean they should stay. Make the hard calls that's what they pay you for!

Weekends will lose some entire areas. Sad because some of the weekend employees are better than the day people but don't get the chance to suck up all day.

Why should they do away with nights and weekends those people need a job too. People should really think about what they are saying before they post. Things are bad enough as it is I saw a lot of good folks get walked out today.

STAFF REPORTS

Several former employees of Halliburton showed up to the Duncan branch of the Oklahoma Employment Security Commission early this morning claiming the company had just laid them off.

OESC Center Manager Chris Moore said thus far about 30 people who said they were laid off from Halliburton today have filed paperwork at his office.

"There were already several people waiting in the parking lot when I got here, which was about 15 minutes until 8 (a.m .)" he said.

Halliburton Spokesperson William Fitzgerald said he could not comment on specifics regarding Duncan's plant, but globally Halliburton has laid off 18,000 employees since its peak in 2014.

More on this story as it develops.

Bet you feel dumb now for saying your husband confirmed there would be no layoffs. Shouldn't speak and get everyone's hopes up. Seeing how there are layoffs happening now. Your husband lied to you and he's at the lower end of the todem pole. You shouldn't even be on this site being a "PLG Spouse" you yourself are just spreading rumors!!!!!! And adding a quote about god at the end doesn't make you a good christian.... You're still a hypocrite.

I'm a welder and the only reason welders and sheet metal would b safe is because of those sand tanks but we still don't know what's going on. So we might b screwed as well but we sure as hell aren't getting any special severance. And for the last 2 weeks I've had an hour long job every day. No work at all. Its been fun see you diddlers when gas picks back up.

I think its going down today, some training was cancelled for Thursday, that's unusual. HR was still there when the propolene leak set the alarms off.

Rumor of approx. 100 tomorrow the 22nd. Local Police supposedly informed to be out there next two days. 3 HR employees were seen leaving late tonight after plant gas alarm and building evacuation.

Ok to the PGL spouse, Have him to let us know when it is then and save us the pain of trying to figure it out on our own. You say he is a PGL and that He says there isn't anything going to happen tomorrow, yet you do not trust him so you get on here to see something different. Yeah, You are no better. Think about it

My husband is a PGL. There was absolutely nothing said about a layoff tomorrow. People really need to stop with the rumors. Yes there is going to be one but NOTHING was said about being tomorrow. They have had to go back and forth several times on their lists. I pray for all of us, we all need it. But the rumors really need to stop, there is no need for them.
