3 weeks and then I'm free. I'd rather take the severance and take my chances on the open market than sit here and bullshit students for another minute. Good riddance to bad rubbish. I don't blame my co-workers for staying, we've all got families to feed but upper management...you should all be ashamed of yourselves. Loyalty? Don't make choke on my dinner...especially since my so called, "great benefits", which I pay a lot into, will be cut off a few weeks before Christmas. I have made BANK for this university on a monthly basis since I got here. Every penny of my salary was earned and then some. So where's my f***ing loyalty?
I worked at UOP and hated every minute of it. The "management" were the biggest scumbags walking, especially enrollment managers. Signing up the elderly that live off of Social Security, homeless, illegals, etc. Anyone to make a dime. Get them in and pass them, just keep them enrolled, so they keep paying. I hope all of the scumbag managers there end up working the 4:00am shift at Denny's and get stiffed on tips. They deserve it and more!!!
Good for you. I fing hated that shithole. I heard and saw some shady things and questioned my manager openly. I hated that place so much I'd sit in the parking lot for 20 minutes before going in and would be late. I'd go home and feel like I needed another shower to wash off the disgusting feeling of being a Phoenix. I was targeted for bullshit write ups over every little thing. I finally started using lunch hour to go to job interviews. I interviewed with my current employer in December and was fired 4 days later. They found out. Was only unemployed for a month (on Apollo's dime) and got snapped up by a REAL university, where I am teaching happily. F that place. I hope it doesn't rise from the ashes this time.
Shame on you!!!! Where is your loyalty to the company whom I am sure paid you great benefits and salary. You acted as if UOP was holding you captive. If you hated so much why did you stay? Good luck in finding so one else to hire you with that attitude
