To the potential employers or whoever comes across resumes from QCOM engineers applying to positions with your companies, please do not hire these guys or find reasons to disqualify them during the interviewing process. All of them have enough "f*ck you" money resulted from years of being employed and spoiled by QCOM. They're very well financially. Please hire other equally or better qualified laidoff engineers from other companies, those guys deserve more. You do not want a bunch of entitled low-skilled QCOM engineers with faulty and delusional attitudes to be your teammates. Please consider other better non-QCOM engineers. Sincerely!

The bottom 40% o the people I've worked with in my life are all from Qualcomm with the odd exception here and there.
They hire poorly qualified individuals, and the Company is not a good one for developing skills. They essentially just use the shotgun approach. Put 12 window lickers on a problem and they'll eventually figure it out, maybe. Doesn't matter that one or two real people could probably get it done quicker, cheaper, and it will be solved instead of patched only to come back later.
Having rest and vest situatiin for an employee is really not a fault of the employee... If anything it is a very good scenario to be able to get paid and have nothing to do except persue your own hobbies..
It is a fault of bad and/or corrupted management that have failed the employee by failing to inspire or keep the employee motivated or even manage the employees time accordingly... Q has accumulated alot of bad corrupted managers over the last decade and Q HR has failed to get rid of them in this round of layoffs...
