Remember, you need to have your vacation balance reduced by Dec 31. Lots of time to squeeze some days in so you don't lose em!!! Yeah, right.

Get those balances down so it makes the next round of RIFS alot less expensive to the company. They don't want to pay out huge balances plus severance. When I was let go, I got almost 1/2 a year in payout.
Understandable. Wanted to make sure it wasn't this week or last.
Would rather not say when I was RIF'd so as to stay anonymous. But within last 18 months.
When were you RIF'd?
I sucked it up and crawled into work when I was sick because it was expected. And yes now I am one of those that gets NO sick time because I was RIF'd.
You need to be quiet and be glad you still get the vacation and sick time. Think about the one's that the hours stopped in March and will never receive another from this ungrateful company. Get a grip people, at least if you get sick you can afford to be off a few weeks.
And this is all for your benefit as the company is keeping up with industry standards. They don't want to be giving out anything above and beyond average. Why would they want to keep their better employees? They got all they need in all those Sears , Kmart, Office Max rejects. Enjoy your holidays!
Sorry to break it to you but the rollover deadline is Dec 27th. You must be down to 80 hours by the end of day Dec 26th. Time taken to cover the 29th and 30th will come out of the rollover amount (maximum 80 hours). Think positive! This helps you get down to the 40 hours maximum by March 19th.
