CNAEP ROM?

Any truth to the rumor that the GOM and MCBU ROMs are being merged into a larger CNAEP ROM that will also include DWEP and SJV?

I don't know if they will "merge" but pretty much every cnaep bu will be going through a cut process. cbu is in phase 2 and will make cuts by March. GOM and MCBU have faster time lines from what I hear.

I assume US expats will be in a must move enterprise PDC that will have very few jobs listed globally and will basically get laid off. The last PDC in October had less than 150 postings and over 400 people looking.

GOM headcount will be cut by a third with the shelf sale. MCBU will be a lot smaller and will take over AMBU. GOM and DWEP may merge back to a single bu but I don't think that happens until 2017. Don't see the point of separate bus for deep water.

2016 will be ugly.

No, not true. Remaining BUs will all have their own ROMs in 2016. Then PDC to handle must moves and find a home for high potentials left standing. Then another RAE trimming 10-20% from CNAEP after all the dust settles near yearend and assuming oil price stays low.

Who knows. Your guess is as good as mine. We will know in 2016
