They repeatedly lied telling plant IT associates they were out of scope and just last week broke the news to plants that they will be included in the Jan - Mar 2016 waves. The way they lead everyone along and continue to play against peoples fears all in the name of profit is disgusting. corporate america at its best folks. In my time working there, corporate heads have consistently perpetuated their greedy agendas at the expense of overworking the associates at the bottom and taking advantage of contractors, and H1B visas. I hope they get what they deserve when they find out that HCL will never adequately replace the quality IT employees at the bottom who have sacrificed much blood, sweat, and tears to hold together the three ring circus that was caused by upper managements inability to effectively lead and organize IT with proper vision and appreciation.

Shit is falling apart as,we speak. HCL is clueless, I have worked with them and they are incompetent fools. I am glad to be leaving and taking my dignity with me.
Jan 8, 2016 - the day plant ITs would be terminated.
Wow, nicely stated on original post, especially the 3 ring circus reference. The IT landscape at BD is a dangerous and tangled mess, and HCL will not likely help and likely hinder. Watch for rogue IT projects especially at the plants under the nose of HCL. Also spot on is the observation that disastrous decisions in the past have led to this mess and now the functional folks lose out. Perfect, nicely done current BD leadership! Boo hiss to those senior leaders who are both incompetent and amoral.
no one is safe from displacement by foreigners until people start standing up for their rights!! Do something!!!!

You have legal rights.
figured the plant IT staff would have figured it out.... it was in the statement of work that all the sites were in scope and under the ownership of HCL once the deal was signed..... shame leadership kept it from all of you.... just goes to show the moral turpitude of upper IT leadership. Proper leadership starts from the top down - the CIO isn't an IT person, he's there to save money as a project manager. Good luck to you!
Nobody is safe - worldwide IT, finance, manufacturing, R&D. Don't believe the core value emails for a minute.
