@EYdLx5v-1qoa: You are really traumatized by your Chinese director and lead. Please - go and see a doctor.

Don't be surprised that your doctors tell you that they never existed, you really need help.

You can only take vacation when you hit the cap? What slave labor group do you work in?

I can only take days off when I hit the vacation cap. I am sure a lot of people are in the same situation. Unlimited days off would be a scam. No one would be able to take vacations (at least engineers in QCT). Speaking of which flex time is also one big scam. Having no schedule realy means we have to work 24/7

Add one more:

4- manager's cronies get more vacation than others and there is no mechanism to regulate it. This will be the cream on top of the highly political workplace that Q already has.

Be careful what you are asking for. The "Unlimited vacation policy" is the latest dirty tricks that they have come up with. The advantage for the corporation is:

1- Erases the financial liability in their books for "unused vacations".

2- When they lay you off, they wouldn't pay you anything for your otherwise "unused vacations"

3- employees get less vacation time in practice because they can only take it when they are "done with their assignments" which is totally subjective and may never happen. Moreover employees feel that they have been given a favor when they take it.

3- it works as a good propaganda statement to say we have "Unlimited Vacation Policy" when they try to recruit.
