Thread regarding Bank of America layoffs

The Brave New World at BofA

Over the years BofA has had a habit of putting whoever they bought in charge of things. The same is true with the ML purchase. The ML/New BAC environment is one of raw unbridled ruthlessness. If anyone shows weakness, they are thrown under the bus and this can come from anywhere...managers, co-workers, anyone. No more are people put into a position that is best suited to them. They are thrown into whatever area needs help. If you can't handle it, you are dead. Ask for facts to support a notion and you are branded a troublemaker. BofA used to be a good place to work. Not anymore. I predict that this dog-eat-dog mentality will eventually die at BofA or BofA will be in serious trouble. The upper managers are already leaving as are many of the long term employees.

Many contractors are eliminated because they do not have the crush everyone approach. Some are given second chances being told they need too demand and create tension to keep the job.
