Schlumberger is waiting for everyone to make their 2016 annual US benifits enrollments before the start layoffs. If you choose OAP that are going to lay you off. Pick CHO plan and you are a keeper. So do not worry until after November 20.

Layoffs at smaller facilities like Florence Ky have already began along with trying to get some of the older enployees out .

Schlumberger saves a lot of money when employees select CHO plan. That is why they are pushing it so hard. Those who select the plan are saving company money. It is a logical solution. Keep those who are saving you money. It is just my quess...
The layoffs might be much smaller then you think. They are pushing early retirement and just about 99% of folks are taking it, knowing what it means if they do not.
