Most of the managers, up to 80 per cent, that I have seen there are simply stupid and get their positions because they bribe or have tight connections. Why no investigation by external agencies! The shareholders must know the truth. Briefly examine this managers on any subject and you will find out what they really worth.

Management is trying to keep those close to them safe .
In our facility (Florence Ky)it's being ran poorly and some of management have actually hired outside consultants to the toon of 1500$ a day to advise on how to manage the everyday operations at the facility .
How can you take a plant manager position and decide that your years of experience and training in CI won't give you the knowledge and understanding of day to operations enough to facilitate the job on your own ?
Seems to be an example of upper management keeping people in positions to insure their jobs safety over the years and less about what's actually good for the company .
More experience has been lost over the last year than ever due to poor management practices and overall discontent for the actual plant manager than I've ever seen in my 25 years of experience .
It's the same in many SLB locations, the UK is a typical example, many technicians have been lost their jobs but the management structure has changed very little in comparision.
What do they do to justify their positions now that they have less staff to manage?, surely in such a serious and prolonged downturn as this staff reductions should be applied equally and fairly across the company to maintain a balance of skills and capabilities.
From the posts appearing on this website clearly this is not happening leading to resentment and discontent across SLB locations worldwide, not really surprising to anyone why moral is so poor and will remain so unless a major rethink on how this company is run and managed takes place.
