Thread regarding SAE Institute (formerly the School of Audio Engineering) layoffs

I am soon leaving, but wanted to leave my thoughts with you.

English is not my first language, so please I am sorry! I am based overseas from US and totally sympathize with what you are going through. However, seeing what I see every day makes me wonder how the hell SAE got so big with such poor management. And I am NOT talking current management - I'm talking the old school guys like Tom and Marco betelli. Think about this, a big corporate bought and has worked out very quickly that SAE was made to look more profitable than it actually was. We had years of no investment or strategy before Navitas bought SAE. We opened a new college very often, a lot of the time with no real plan, only our passion. But, what do you expect the new Corporate owners to do? They have shareholders so they cannot pump even more money into SAE in order to make a profit in the far future... They need to make profit now, already has been 4 years since we were bought. The only way to do it now is to reduce cost - simple. I wish you all the best, but I am tired of hearing the blame all the time to corporate when there was so much wrong at SAE on so many levels.
