Qualcomm will continue to shrink for the foreseeable future, so these waves of layoffs will continue. As a matter of fact we will see people like Murthy firing others and then getting fired themselves. In any case, the ones leaving will have a huge positive impact on San Diego and on the industry in general. The skillsets of the ones coming out are amazing. You will see. Watch out.

I might consider a recall for a different tech team. Not that it would be any better than the current one, but at least it might be more intellectually interesting work wise.
You are spot on except that nobody has the balls to fire the Murthy although he would have been long gone in any other company!
Some of them received recall and will continue work in Qualcomm.
