Sometimes I forget what a blessing it is to be laid off. I'm not being sarcastic. If I can't find good work, I suppose I'll regret it.
To the OP: have you considered just doing a lousy job and continuing to collect a paycheck. You would be likely to be laid off.
YES YOU CAN, DEPENDS HOW HEAVY IT IS AND HOW FAR YOU HAVE TO CARRY IT.
If you are in GOM, everyone will be experienced at handling packages. Its all they do - whether a top or bottom.
FYI...They can refuse your request to be left standing but it is correct that you do have to make the request.
I read somewhere on this layoff website, that if you would want to be laid off, it needs to come from you. Don't wait to be told, best have a talk with your supervisor. Let the supervisor know you would like to be left standing.
