How many customers did you have over the last few days when KMart stayed open all night. We had two after 10 pm on the first night and one was a homeless person who bought a drink and stayed all night. The next night we had 4. We spent more on labor and the light bill than we made in sales.
Sears/Kmart did not advertise they were staying open all night this year like they did in the past. Just a few signs in the parking lot. Why not let people know you are open?

After the usual closing time here in TN, it became dead in the store. I agree with you that they spent more money on electricity & labor than they made profit. I did purchase toys for my children & a set of Christmas bows from them this holiday season. Unfortunately, this will be my last year doing so. I would rather shop somewhere that is cheaper & knows how to treat others. I'm done with Kmart. The only reason I went ahead & purchased the toys is because it was too late to shop elsewhere.
My store was down 23.5% from last year. I didn't buy a single item from Sears or Kmart this Christmas Season. I used to do all of my shopping with them. They don't value employees or the work they do. I can't wait until my store closes and I collect my unemployment.
This is not good, I am in Nor Cal, it was pretty bad here too
