It does not count as 'earned income' but you will get a tax form next year.
SSA and Obamacare are good to go even with unemployment INSURANCE payouts, as it does not count against you.
I have survived several of these downturns since the eighties. Just sit back and go for the ride.
Its really a great time to be planning for the next rising edge. All or most of the current equipment will be replaced with new technology, so get to work.
