A couple of years ago we had some layoffs at VMware (I think they were dumping Sliderocket then) and Chadwick's comments about the layoffs at the company all-hands were horrifying in their casualness. It was like a dog shaking a flea -- no big deal that because of catastrophic mistakes by upper management, a bunch of peons were losing their jobs. It was always this way: execs get rewarded for failure, everybody else loses.

Gelsinger will probably get 50 million as a departure payout. Thank you for f---ing this once-great-company up.
Food for thought alright!
When will Pat Gelsinger finally go? That guy has zero vision and has been riding this once great company right into the ground!
What are you talking about? His golden parachute will be worth than what you'll make in your lifetime. For execs, getting laid off is like winning the lottery. It's a reward for failure at the top.
