First of all the GPS was placed on Chesapeake vehicals for safety purposes only, not to track employees so they can fire them just because Chesapeake wanted to get out of paying severance and bonus packages.Second, everybody that works for Chesapeake knows that the GPS systems are inaccurate and have never been reliable! Look out Chesapeake employees, if they will stoop that low to do that they deserve to go bankrupt.I think those employees should file a class action lawsuit and get whatever they can get!
the 15 that were fired in Wilburton and Arkoma offices were told the reason was the gps in their trucks and the time entered didn't match up basically billing 8 hours a day and working 4-5 hours.
There is a huge difference between letting one go or firing. Read the ducking state hand book.
@FF1m3Yf-kqa, we're hired as "at will employees", you might want to educate yourself a bit!
what was the basis to firing? you cannot just go and fire people
They didn't lay people off they fired them so they didn't have to pay a severance package or any other benefits. Now I heard they are fighting the unemployment claims they should take them to court
Is this true? Haven't heard for sure yet anyone hear anything
