Repeat ... to "boost relevant keywords as a signal to search engines" the better more professional websites do it in the "page properties", as in tags, which are not visible to the users. Does the same thing only looks a whole lot better.

This is a very common practice to boost relevant keywords as a signal to search engines what the site is about. Football fanatics does something similar on their category pages, visible to customers.
