Thread regarding ConocoPhillips layoffs

Proud to have worked at ConocoPhillips!

I retired from ConocoPhillips several years ago and still have many friends within the company and many that have left as I did. We had to weather many of these cycles over the years together and it made us a more united family. It was a wonderful place to work and a wonderful experience that let me see and experience the world. You can be proactive or reactive to these situations and if you are reactive you are always behind and always a victim. We'll have a cold one and some laughs together when it's over. Good Luck and Best Wishes!

Worked for COP for 20 years. I don't seem to have those fond COP memories. Glad to be gone!

That company you worked at is dead. Died some time ago. Now it's the shitty company with benefits no greater than any other company formally known as ConocoPhillips.

The company you describe no longer exists (if it ever existed). The proactive employees were walked out the door first. I have never experienced a workplace so desperate not to acknowledge the performance of employees. As an example, SPIRIT awards are only awarded to initiatives originally sponsored by a VP. No level of performance by an individual or a team of individuals qualify for a SPIRIT award without the initial sponsorship of a VP.
