Thread regarding Union Pacific Corp. layoffs

I agree this is real. I work on the non agreement side, my husband on the agreement side and take this as a warning you have been warned. Warning Warning Warning your a number there is no union they are not bringing you back to work they have made it clear 1 2 3 your out and I mean OUT. You guys are going in to work not listening but talking hearing what you want to hear. Hear this my husband was fired under the new policy been working at Union Pacific 23 years 23 years and this is what he gets TERMINATED for good. Now they have rolled out G55 the problem is you DONT understand what it is, what it means, what it does as well as the QSP202 at the end of the day three things are going to happen

A: They lay you off for a year or more until people start retiring

B: They make it mandatory 8 hr shift work paying no overtime

C: They terminate you under the Mapps program

Railroading is over.

This isn't 08/09 all over again, this is much much worse! Yes I'm trolling your page but I understand how things work for you guys too in your business, rules, unions, etc. I'm just saying its worse now and the fact the railroads move so much product for the oilfield before and after it really effects you guys also.

It doesn't help that the coal has had its nuts cut off also and dealt another blow to your industry.

From what ive seen the traffic levels are really down, not as many stack trains moving to global 4 from Long Beach, auto racks are down, and even the manifest that had started getting healthy are to a trickle.

Yep. Worked for CSX back in 08 and UP now and its looking really bad.
