Thread regarding ConocoPhillips layoffs

Why is management delaying layoffs?

At $30 WTI, layoffs seem necessary. Why is management delaying layoffs?

Get the layoffs over with? Haven't you heard? Being unemployed sucks.. You Gubers need to wise up.. They're probably doing them a favor. It's much better financially/professionally to look for a job while you are employed.

It's like your girlfriend that keeps threatening to break up with you. After awhile, you don't give a crap anymore.

Maybe HR are rewriting the severance package that is reduced to a Popsicle and a Tootsi Pop.

It would be better if they would just get it over with if there are more layoffs coming. People don't want to live their lives wondering if they are still going to have a job next week or next month. I predict they will be the first week of April like last year but I really don't know. I am not a COP employee but I have family that works at COP. I hear that there isn't going to be another massive round. Departments will just cut people as necessary.

For the same reason they took so long to cut the dividend and because they are dumb asses.
