When are the layoffs coming?

That's the feeling and talk in the offices. They will end up manufacturing and nothing else. The majority of duplicate functions have already been merged into Nabors and most of the new product development isn't focused on innovating products towards their 3rd party base it's all driven by what Nabors wants.
Sure they'll still sell parts and equipment to 3rd party but service will go away.
What about Nabors layoff?
Will Canrig eventually go away all together?
Canrig got hit at Greens Road
Yesterday and today, Grandjunction. Tough on the family
Well that sounded like a management type answer. I'm not sure about up front but I know of 5 from the shop/warehouse. They had a late start at it today. I'm sure there will be more tomorrow for those whom had monday off.
Department leaders have been given targets to achieve in order to accomplish an overall cost reduction goal. Purchasing was first to move on their share of the goal........
Who in purchasing?
Sounds like purchasing was the only one hit this week.
Anyone heard any new rumors around magnolia? Last rumor was the 23rd and it's been very quiet all week.
Nothing, it's too quiet.
How many did they get yesterday ?
Sounds like tomorrow (23rd) will be the day when they come in and wipe out a bunch of people. It's rumored to be a big one.
Heard it started today...
Exactly! Instead, everyone is busting their bottoms trying to save money for this company, and all they get in return is uncertainty and negativity.
A heads up would be nice, then people could start looking for other employment. Shouldn't be kept a secret if departments are about to get hit.
I SO agree with the first reply!!!! Maybe f they would give the employees a heads up- they would get volunteers for the layoff.
Usually there are at least rumors. Last year it was like the entire office would know about layoffs - this year? Not a peep. I wish corporate would at least send out an announcement. No one knows whether to come into work motivated to be with the company, or scared and keep their head low. If they are going to do layoffs, I feel they should give their employees an idea of what's expected for 2016.
After the earnings report this past week, most definetly.
