So as of today, 2/17, are store layoffs coming or have already happened. How soon?

Stores layoffs usually occur on a Thursday or Friday so I'd expect it tomorrow. They need enough time before the end of the year for those let go to sign off on the documents 21 days and get by the challenge period in the agreement 7 days.
People said their would be a VP conf call- what was that about
