What? The majority of Chevrons production and profits are from international upstream!
Chevron is a U.S. Company. We font need a large staff in any foreign country. That includes Canada. Sorry if that bothers you!
Yes, it was announced this week that all drilling is suspended. I asked how long? Answer was indefinitely. They don't need a big staff here in Calgary?
I need luck! I just found this sight. It will be more than 35%. Work in the Duvernay has been suspended. We went through a ROM last summer and lost 25%. When I saw the org chart it was really scaled back. The reduction is closer to 50%. Not sure how Chevron quotes numbers that are obviously wrong. Now this is interesting. I was told that CNAEP will be centralizing the unconventional functions out of Houston and Midland. This ESP is only the start of a bigger reorg. They don't know who does what at the moment so they are keeping larger overhead until the dust settles. I think they will implement new org structure immediately and the reduce force by incremental layoffs. Either way.....it's way worse than this ESP.
