Barbie numbers will be down for a FOURTH STRSIGHT YEAR yet Evelyn V and Kim C will continue to keep their jobs. Until the new HR head from Disney realizes that the DC HR team doesn't have a clue, Mattel will continue the downward spiral. Who moved Stephanie from SVP Girls marketing to Corp Communications where she doesn't know how to do her job? HR. Who promoted Ted from marketing to VP hot wheels design? HR. Who will leave the truly vapid ladies (kin and Evelyn) who have driven Barbie into the ground the 4 years? Again, HR. If I were the new HR head, first thing I'd do is get rid of the useless HR team in the DC (excuse me, HTC) and then FIRE people who screw up repeatedly. Stop shifting around shitty people.

The real entertainment will be the spin that our clueless leadership will spew out of their mouths to try and appease the investors. The dividend will eventually be cut. Expect AI Barbies to be given out this holiday season to anyone who survives the upcoming layoffs.
