California has been known for its higher cost of gasoline compared to the Gulf Coast States. Your State mandates 3 different gasoline blends throughout the year and California has higher gasoline taxes than down here in the southern gulf area.
In the Peoples Republic of Los Angeles the cheapest prices for unleaded are $2.85/gallon price and $2.29/gallon for diesel. Average prices are $0.20-$0.30/gallon higher.
Better that than South East Louisiana - the repugnant people there will cost you your life.
I can get $1.57 in the Katy, TX area and diesel for around $1.98. I prefer the west Houston suburban area.
