At many stores they were making money. The board decided tractors were not part of Cabela's "core 4" any longer. OR our new owners don't like tractors...

Do not take out a mortgage on a new house or buy a new truck with 7 year financing if you work here. Unless, of course, you do not depend on the paycheck they give you for all that much other than fun money.

Outsider here:

But that does sound like preparation for a sale. If everyone gets new uniforms, then you know it's even more likely. Whatever is happens, your gut instinct is right that money men walking around in suits talking to no-one isn't good news.

All signs point towards a sell-off of the company. Just like showing a house or selling a vehicle, cleanliness adds perceived value. I knew the there was trouble brewing last year with the mass layoff/restructure. It's only a matter of time before the axe is dropped with more layoffs/ restructures. Has management said anything about the future of the company other than the usual BS?

From my understanding, yes they will honor the warranty.

The men in suits...nothing yet in my store, but I've heard this from other stores. We outfitters from different stores have to stick together and keep each other updated on happenings. Lots of changes going on in mine....basically focused on cleanliness and keeping things clean cut and straight lined.

We just had a group of suits walk through our store (took about 45 minutes) taking notes. They all pulled up in rental Suburban's and all left together. They did not talk to any Outfitters and kept to themselves. They spent quite a bit of time talking on their phones and taking pictures. Anybody have this happen?

wonder if that was pressure from the investor or they finally figured out it was a waste of time and money? Will they still honor warranty on them?
