Nice to have been protected by DuPont. P66 had to survive Pickens and then Ichan.

I worked for conoco as a contractor while DuPont owned them. It was a great time back them. Cost was no object especially when you had a company man in your pocket.
Except that Conoco was owned by DuPont from 1981-1998 and merged with Phillips in 2002. Therefore, Dino and others managed to keep the company independent just 4 years out of the last 35! From a business perspective their track record was not great.
