A lot of US workers were laid off this week. Anyone have any numbers or more information? Have any other locations been affected? Of course bad executive decisions seem to lead to "cost-saving measures"...i.e. Layoffs. When will companies learn that some talent is irreplaceable and start holding people to responsibilities, instead of the ones doing all of the hard work?

I have been browsing online more than 3 hours today, yet I never found any interesting article
like yours. It’s pretty worth enough for me. Personally, if
all site owners and bloggers made good content as you did, the web
will be a lot more useful than ever before. I am sure this paragraph
has touched all the internet visitors, its really really pleasant post on building up new webpage.
Its like you learn my mind! You seem to grasp so much approximately this,
like you wrote the e book in it or something. I feel that you just could do with
some % to drive the message house a little bit, but other than that, that is
fantastic blog. A fantastic read. I will definitely be back.

In my opinion, Microsoft is the first contender to accquire Avaya in its fall. Avaya's building up its cloud PBX but yet time to take off,,,it will be great time for Microsoft to put its use to their "Cloud PBX" version!
Too bad, If Avaya is public, I would get some load of their stocks and wait for the burst!
Working with an Avaya reseller and they are making a serious effort to shift their account base to Cisco to avoid having their business taken away by Avaya competitors. From what I know most of the Avaya sales people work on straight commission off of margin and there is some real anxiety (more like scared) in their ranks. Even Mitel looks better than Avaya these days for resellers.
Another senior leader of Avaya India moves out of the sinking ship .......as speculation on sale continues!!!!!
Avya keeps on laying off a great number of people monthly, without letting the rest of the people know. That's unclear how it is related to future plans and/or the sale of the company's CC or other business.
UC is doomed!
Yes! CC business will be spun off and restructred. Folks working on Oceana may feel relieved. UC division will be declared bankrupt. I would expect huge layoffs across UC.
CD&R is buying Avaya's CC business
No performance by Avaya.
Nobody wants to buy Avaya.
It can't get worse than that.
Avaya has become the Titanic of Telecom world.

I gave my 8 years to Avaya with my heart and soul completely dedicated to the success of Avaya. I was asked to leave in 30 mins of conversation.
I hope this should never happen with my dear friends at Avaya.
Its not easy guys.
We are doing hard work and will continue to do so..But all these rumors effect day to day work. Avaya should come clear on their plan. If they need to fire us then let us know....things need to be clear.
For guys worked their butt off in the past, it is tough to say goodbye...
All we can do is to continue the hard work, keep the team spirits, and wish our dear company can weather through!
No company is perfect, Avaya is no difference... But you can't deny that it plays a key role in enterprise communication domain. We are determined to excel!

Avaya not for sale.....Enjoy.
Nothing is clear about Avaya future...Dont know whats going to happen. Who is going to buy Avaya.
Avaya was always on sale. But since they have failed to get potential buyers for UC and CC business, the plan B is to sell off Data and intellectual rights.
Why will some one buy Avaya? Its gonna be bankrupt soon. Better to buy after bankruptcy. Its will be similar to Yahoo like story.

It's not only that they are laying off people in US, I heard that they are misusing visas to get employees from India to go and work in US while paying them salary in India.
