Thread regarding Follett layoffs

Looking Good

Way to go Follett, looking like #winnners. That "We got Neebo" victory party worn off yet?

I wonder what the folks at UNC and UCONN would think if they knew you struggled so much this year that you had to boot another round of employees.

Out of curiosity, what was the last idea you brought to the table? What would make a school feel good trusting you?

The Daily Tarheel ( unc student paper) has done several articles on the potential outsourcing of the beloved campus store and a few months ago were actively looking for follett employees to interview..maybe someone here wants to volunteer?

Anybody know how many Neebo stores Follett has already lost or closed?

"announce the acquisitions on the same day as Project Blue part 2 is absolutely infuriating" = they have no respect, zero compassion for their employees. It is a loser acquisition anyway.

That is all nice and dandy. Until Follett attempts to hire from some of their outside recruiters. The word is out, Follett is a company on more of a downward spiral.

And reading the reviews of the company recently has Follett now pegged as a poor choice for career advancement and poor leadership

If they were a stock, get out now before it tanks any further.

'Project Blue part 2' is just an unofficial name for the latest field culling of full time staff.

What's project Blue part 2?

Yeah, the fact that they announce the acquisitions on the same day as Project Blue part 2 is absolutely infuriating. It's kinda like getting engaged the same day as your husband's funeral.

Gotta love ANOTHER new acquisition announcement this morning. Must be nice to spend all that money on new businesses to run into the ground.
