We don't have anyone in Grocery. Why would they keep the Artist?

Besides teams making their own signs, id assume program materials will be regionalized and shipped like they had been all along, but thats all youll get.
I'd love to get my hand on that massive stash of markers they'll go unused at my old store.
In the South at least half of the stores have no in-house signmaker and will not going forward. The TLs/ATLs are now doing most of the signmaking.
As of a month-ish ago, we had a phone call in NE talking about reducing the stores to one artist per store by August/September. I'm personally glad I didn't leave earlier since we have been offered severence and can take it anytime before the rehires.
No sh--. I've warned a few of my store artist buddies that the handwriting is on the wall. I predicted by May that the position will be absorbed, now I'm pushing it to August. WAKE UP people! We are no longer needed, store individuality is over, and the jobs we are doing are getting piecemealed out to the teams.
Move on, before you are asked to leave, or asked to forget your graphics degree and stock produce if you are lucky, or become a part time cashier if you still believe in Whole Foods. Sign makers are done. Fini. Nada.
I at my store... it's disappearing slowly!!! My TL is making case signage already...very soon there will be no need for in store artists.... this company is going down big time.... 12 years getting brain washed.... grocery n whole body combining... seafood n meat as well...
No definite rumors here, but me and a few other SGAs I know have been pretty suspicious of the job practically disappearing (or changing so much it's not recognizable) for awhile.
Luckily I'm getting out in a few months - phew
