Meg wants her $91 million bonus - employees be damned

Speaks for itself. Don't know why media hasn't plastered it all over:

HP is facing many different challenges. Met Whitman's solution for all of those varied challenges is always the same: Layoff people to cut expenses and sell off assets to generate cash. One way to look at it is that HP has had some great leaders in the past who have built the company up and produced products that created new markets and revenue opportunities. Ms. Whitman's claim to fame is that she is dismantling the work of others in a more or less organized fashion. I prefer the builders to the dismantlers. It is easy to layoff people. All a CEO has to do is send out an email to her staff. Then the rest of the company does all the work and deals with all the consequences. To those who look at stock prices to judge a CEO's worth, I would suggest that they consider how much of HP's current stock price is based on Ms. Whitman pre-announcing every quarter how much money she will be spending in stock buybacks - money that should have been used on HP's underfunded R&D.

So far she is doing better than the last 3 ceos for the company. Employees are being hurt but so far she has done what she said. She will pocket coin for it.
