I keep hearing the retail store reduction rumor circling around, but who knows.

I have also decided to stay put, I attempted to look for new work the last couple of year and have found that most larger companies are exactly the same. After almost 20 years at VERIZON WIRELESS, despite all of the silly and inefficient changes made in the name of efficiency, we still have it better then most.

Many have decided to ride the train to the end.

10+ years working here, the reason I've worked VZ is because I've have not had the time to find another job, working 7 days a week, 10 to 12 hours a day, with a lot of mandatory weekends.

I made the choice to stay on, to work hard and feel good about what I do, it hasn't always been fun working for idiots.

The individuals that become managers are the ones that are lazy, lack skill to work with there hands, these are the ones that run there programs with there mouth, expert manipulators, they go through life thinking they are better than everyone below them, most them live pathetic life's, multiply marriages and broken families.

They define themselves by how many pats on the backs the get from their colleagues in meetings

VzWireless only?? That is exactly the problem. I had people from Wireless "top device salespeople" in basics classes, trying to become Enterprise IT and Telecoms sales people on major accounts, who thought a phone call goes from cell phone to tower and then hops "from tower to tower around the world" .....and also thought a large global enterprise could function entirely on cell phones. They knew NOTHING about global business, telecommunications or IT.

Good luck to finding another income, selling cell phones for a reseller. VzW resellers (most stores and mall kiosks now) are having a tough time competing against the market.

Also Vz (Wireless or VzT) employees are NOT compensated in Vz stock - but in shares in a company that owns the stock - not stock, and no votes.

I guess this is an attempt to run away from union abuse on Verizon Communications page here
