It's back to work on Monday, just like nothing ever happened. You better work your fanny off and suck up to your manager everyday. Chevron needs maximum effort from all of you until the next layoff this year when you, too, will be laid off.

I stay on thelayoff.com and meme sights all day. I got a better job than before. I ain't complaining....
And then there are the expats whose days are numbered but currently have a heavy workload impossible to complete in the short time allowed before they are ordered to repatriate. They are in limbo as "not yet selected" until repatriating to have HR inform them that they of course have no job. Does this not seem a tad disrespectful?
