TCO is the golden goose. FGP is the golden egg. We will lay off people everywhere else but Tengiz before we slow that project down.

Is there any recent news about expats getting laid off in the Kazakhstan Tengiz field? Will there be lots of upcoming cuts ?

OP = Classy. I salute you and only wish you the best in the future. Don't let the negativity of this board alter your world view. Your short response to such a life changing event only reinforces my thoughts that we are letting the wrong people go.

@guc Thank you for your post and service to this company. Your treatment is indeed why so many look to this board. You probably won't find satisfaction here though. How can a message board replace off boarding treatment with dignity and respect one would expect from a company that espouses The Chevron Way? It hurts. And the hurt won't go away. But I hope you are comforted to know that there are hundreds, if not thousands of colleagues, current and former, who feel the same and stand with you. We are true The Chevron Way.

Little respect from the Company for those who were loyal the longest.

Leave it behind you, you did fine, and those responsible for the disrespect will get payback. It all comes around...

132 views and 0 responses... Guess I'll be the first. Got my ESP response today. I EOI'd for various reasons, mostly because I lost confidence in myself and the FGP management. Thought going home this way would allow me the ability to say goodbye to close colleagues in some fashion of dignity. Sadly, the big wheels turn fast with the shedding of Chevron's Human Assets...kicked to the wayside with 2 weeks short of 35 yrs of service. After that long, I really wanted to be on the job for that mile stone but told it wasn't in the budget. The big concern ...getting company laptop back, making sure expense account cleared and return of corp credit card. It took till now to realize why those who have posted here before have been so bitter. To those of you have been left standing, I wish the best. To those of you still employed, please continue to make a positive difference in your daily duties, challenge the stupidity where it makes a difference and know that in spite of the bumpy road CVX is traveling, it is you that make up the heart of the Chevron Way.
