Thread regarding Williams Cos. layoffs

Everybody knows the problem started when ACMP acquired Williams.

Yes, that's backwards from how it was framed, but it's dead-on in terms of perception and reality. It baffles me how the CEO let this play out under his watch. To be fair, ACMP leadership was masterful at promoting itself and unproven ideas while inflating its value, but the CEO's job is to sniff those odors out.

Hello

No deception with DD, just a bunch of group thinkers The lesson learned is if you want to stay employed go with the flow or crowd, unless you want to take a risk and go against the group thinkers, you never know it could pay off as well.

Where culture is strong, people do things because they believe it is the right thing to do, and there is a risk of another phenomenon, groupthink. Members that are defiant are often turned down or seen as a negative influence by the rest of the group because they bring conflict.

Sounds like there was some deception in addition to an issue with due diligence.

People, can't we just all get along? Yes, Williams and Access have different cultures but can't we find away to take the best of each without being territorial or defensive and just work together? Grow up, people! These are tough time and it calls for sacrifice and team work to serve the greater good. Taking care of your own to the detriment of the company is complete nonsense.

It is called Due Diligence. It gets back to the culture of this megacorporation. While i like the energy of the culture, it may not always encourage feedback on bad news. I remember when they got up early in the morning and left under the cover of darkness and did a sneak DD visit of the Caiman facilities, enough said! LOL
