What's the real estate market in Bartlesville like?

Bville isn't totally dependent on conoco and P66 to stay alive, the nicer neighborhoods are continually building more houses and other businesses are moving in. Not a bad town to live in.

The problem with Bartlesville is that the real estate market is tied to the performance of ConocoPhillips and P66. In the current market, if you are laid off, you also have to take a significant loss on your house - a double whammy. In the past, if you lost your job, you also basically lost your house as well - and were forced into bankruptcy. With layoffs looming, and a takeover possible in 1-2 years, now is not the time to own a house in Bartlesville.

Doubled my money on a starter home sold at the height of the boom, but made the mistake of buying a bigger home

340 houses for sale in BVO. Is anybody going to update the Bartlesville Wikipedia page economy section? Numbers seem high.
