Lee Hecht Harrison career counseling

Has anyone been in touch with them yet ?

I registered and all I got was some online videos and FAQs.

Aren't they supposed to assign a 'personal career coach' to you ?

I have heard from friends who had dealt with other such companies that they were pretty useless in finding a job.

I did not bother they do not care, there are just there to read your resume give you a place to go so you fell like you are still working by having a place to go each day.

LHH (Lee Hecht Harrison) is a total waste of time; pure and simple (based on my experience). Some States offer career counselling for the unemployed (e.g., California One-Stop Career Center); 85% of the time such State-sponsored service is more beneficial/efficient. Good luck; the job market is pretty tight and all these "nice" government figures about improved hiring is just PR (or should I say "BS").

LHH isn't there to find you a job. They are only an advisor company, who offers services to assist you in finding a job. Negotiation, interviewing skills, resume advice, even LinkedIn advice. Some of it is useful, some of it is common sense. Usually takes a couple days to get your instructor assigned. Mine would call me about once a week, or email me, and ask if there was anything he could help with. We also discussed interviews and things to consider/prepare with.
