Take a deep breath and think about it. Chevron had good benefits, not the best in Houston , but good. There are other companies in Houston that need people. Move on, get out of oil. Medical is good.
Chevron has to much Berkley bull- in it and I am glad to in Texas and able to find a new career.
Move on, it is healthy to move on, get these BAD Chevron Managers out of your head and find a GOOD place to work.

After 30 plus years with Chevron I selected the EOI. I was a field hand until the last 15 months and I was sitting at a desk in the Houston office. I worked 13 years for an oilfield service company before hiring on with Chevron. I am not an office person and POP sucks!!! I have a CDL and there are many jobs waiting for me if I want them. I am taking the rest of the year off and see what 2017 brings! I am soooo happy to be out of that office environment!!

@uds - Why would anyone in Mexico want to come here if all the good American jobs have been sent to Mexico as @eoy contends? And no, I was not being disingenuous, I was sarcastically pointed out the inconsistency of someone who claims there are plenty of good jobs in Mexico but at the same time claiming that we need to build a wall to keep people from crossing from Mexico to the US to get jobs. You can't believe both things. And I never said anything about Mexicans.
No @bxb, the wall is meant to keep illegal people from coming over the border in the US (not necessarily 100% Mexican either). I think you know that too. Don't be disingenuous.
