I was laid off back in September. CHESAPEAKE - Please light up the trees in blue for Aubs. I think it would be a great tribute and help morale I'm sure. My heart hurts for his family. No matter your opinion of him he changed this city for the better.

Stupid idea. AKM about bankrupt CHK with his reckless business practices. Let's not make a saint out of someone who clearly wasn't. Let's quietly and respectfully bury him and move forward !
Who said to light up Nichols Hills? A few trees in the courtyard would not be a big deal. People always have to complain about something. It's ridiculous.
. Do you have an extra couple million you could give the company? That is how much shareholder money it cost to put them up every year.
It has been suggested we all light up a tree, doorway or post at our homes in remembrance of Aubrey. Beginning this Saturday through the 26th. Aubrey created so much light in this community; wheather job creation, charity, the boathouses or a great night of basketball, he touched us all. Let's light up the town. If you disagree, save you hateful response and simply leave the lights off.
They don't even need to do all the trees... Just three in the center or something meaningful. Whether you care to admit it or not, Aubrey created Chesapeake and it would not be here without him. We can argue that it wouldn't be here if he were still running it, but that isn't the point - he created the company. He was the biggest protagonist for natural gas and the shale revolution. We all owe a lot to him.
It's a small price for all the millions dollars of Salaries and benefits we have benefited from collectively. I think it's a great idea
Are you all f---ing high? It would take two months just to get the lights up. This is no judgment about AKM. A tribute of some sort would be nice (even though I do think he was a crook - he still did good for the community) but 250k to string blue lights for the guy? GTFO!
