Why are the Americans going but those with H1b visas are not?
Those are the folks who have posted anti-Halliburton messages here from their COE computers....
No they are stilling actively reducing. Mgmt says they are over but people keep getting walked out.
The contractors are going to be hit next. Deep cuts are coming their way soon.
say that when they move out of Houston and move headquarters to Dubai.....
I thought Halliburton paid above market rates to attract the best staff? You lot of inbred rednecks are thick as f---
ya know if i had to say one good thing about halliburton it would be.
Stands to reason why they are laying so many employees off in the U.S.. And closing down facilities in the U.S. And selling off all the assets that they have been. Numbers just do not add up, something doesn't add up! According to the numbers, we have more employees outside the U.S., definitely doesn't sound right!!!!!!!
makes perfect sense, especially considering that we are global, how would anyone actually be able to prove how many employees that we actually had. Can be a great scam, I don't trust any of those damn people..... No different than the government. They just pay them off and keep the rest. I never understood our head count, it always seemed to be very high but never made sense........ But does now!!!!!!!
check it out, if a person can cook the books somehow, and say they have 20,000 more employees than they actually have and don't/or can't prove it because they are foreign employees @ $75,000.00 each..... That is $1,500,000,000.00....... Do the math!!!!!!
excellent scam, who would actually ask to verify the head count globally........ Nice!!!!!
bunch of bogus numbers (employees) making someone a bunch of $$$$$ for the "crooks" And are easily able to hide because nobody checks the actual "global" numbers.......
to answer the below comment....... NB is NOT safe, actually...... NO site and No Employee is safe...... There are a lot of employees about to get laid off.......
strap it on, we're about to go for a ride!!!!!!
especially if the BHI doesn't go through........
well, if things do not pick up soon, and I do not expect them to..... Do not be surprised if Halliburton doesn't do something drastic in Q4 and make a devastating announcement to the employees before Christmas!!!
it is a shame, because there is a lot of good people at Halliburton, but the sad truth is, is exactly what is being said in all of the below comments.
and they are too stupid to understand all the below comments!!!!!! And will never have a clue until the only job that they can get is flipping burgers at McDonalds..........
thats what happens in big government and big companies...... You have HSE and management programs where kids run the company and government, and they run it into the ground because they don' t know what to do....... They run all the people off that have experience and knowledge and keep the inexperienced people and give college grads power over a business and they run it into the ground like they did mommy & daddy's allowance during college.........
Management sold us out!!!!!!!!!!!!!
just wait until they have to pay BH the 3.5 BILLION when the BHI doesn't go through.......... Man oh man........ Not good!!!!!
i never bought into the idea that Halliburton had that many employees....... Just doesn't add up, never did.
i have serious reservations that Halliburton even has 40,000 employees globally....... Even before the layoffs!!!!!!!!
not good man....... Dubai......... Here comes Halliburton's headquarters as promised!!!!!!!!!
looks to me like we are laying off the American work force and keeping overseas workforce operational......... "NOT GOOD" for the American worker!!!!!!!!!!
NB will have many more layoffs if there is any validity to the below threads........ I heard that Halliburton is about to get real small...........
Read between the lines!!!!!!!
i sure hope that they don't go chapter 11 on us!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And sell to GE!!!!!!!
Interesting observations......... Very good!!!!!!!!!
Fracking......... Not tracking....... My apologies.......
well, let's see.... Tracking is shut down..... Drilling is shut down, domestically, nothing really going on globally....... Not a good future! Especially for 2016! Yet!....... Not good for the "oil patch" that I can see until 2017...... Or further out!!!!!!! Maybe a good time to bail and find other job opportunities!
hmmmmmm....... Tax purposes maybe"......... This makes sense! What gives?
actually, I agree, but the numbers are much less than that...... I would guess that Halliburton only had about 40k employees globally, maybe.....
i heard that we are selling LandMark Graphics and Oak Park....... IC is going to Carrolton....... Not too many PSL's to be left in Houston....... Not good for 2016!!!!!!!!
i still don't see how Halliburton ever had or said that they had 85,000 employees..... It just doesn't add up..... Houston area: OP, NB, IC, CE, B&K, M /Chem, Penn 1&2, Interwood, Misc... Max 12k employees.
Louisiana, 3,500 employees........ N Texas, Carrolton, Duncan, Alvarodo, FW training center 12k.
Singapore, 1,2 & 3 3,500 max...... So far that's about 31k employees...... Where are the other 50k employees at???????? You can't tell me that in over 50 countries of operation that we have that many employees..... I just don't buy it. You can't convince me that we ever had that many employees even in the good times and we certainly do not have this many now after all the layoffs.........
The 3rd and 4th qtr does not look good for "Big Red".
The only thing that kept "BIG RED" from going under in the 80's was Brown & Root, but " Big Red" packaged them off in 1998........ Good luck Dave on this "go round"!!!!!!!
I (an engineer) got laid off from North Belt this past Wednesday. Also, one of the BD guys in my old department (also an engineer) got laid off last Tuesday. Can't speak for what's gone on since then.
