I'm certain there are currently employees who are wanting to get laid-off. Why won't they consider a voluntary lay-off offering? Might be a good way to prune the organization into an organization which is fully engaged/excited about the next upturn.

Whew--happy I did it in Oct. then.
there is no way they Would offer EOI this time, with the amount of people that chose it last time they would have no employees left which what they deserve, I dont know about other places but our Asset I guarantee there would an overwhelming number of responses and that would speak to our current management and well we cant have that....
I think they're afraid of how many good people will actually take the opportunity to leave.
