How is everyone doing after the layoffs. The package was fair compared to other companies. I have gotten use to the days off, which are nice. However, you wonder how long before the job market picks back up. Good luck to all that remain and all that have had to say goodby to denbury

I have found that a testament to good people who were cut we the ones who quickly found new employment. Meanwhile some of the poor choices made by Denbury managers resulted in additional spending. After all shouldn't it cost the company money to save your buddies job??😂😂😂😂😘
Well, I've been able to loose weight since I'm not around the Denbury Cafe any longer!!!!
It's been a struggle for everyone adjusting to the new reality. No one is safe even if you still have a job. Everywhere one goes professionally, there are so many stories of layoffs...oil and gas producers cutting, service companies cutting, smaller companies going under and selling assets. Seasoned professionals with decades in the industry and young kids who got cut from their first job out of college, I've seen them all. If non industry friends comment how wonderful filling their tank for less than $20 again, I'm gonna scream.
Obviously the big question is how long will this last. Doesn't appear that it's abating in the next few months. Maybe towards the 3rd or 4th quarters but that might just be wishful thinking. Best thing is that if you still have a job, is to keep your head down and be as efficient and productive as possible. If you have lost your job, network, keep yourself circulating an let people know you are looking to work, keep busy, and cut costs, cause this may last longer than any of us want to admit.
For everyone, stay positive. Working or not, we all have a lot to be grateful for. And by the way, for those on this board that can only say negative things, keep those comments to yourselves or wait until you are sitting in a chair being interviewed for your next job and see what that kind of attitude will bring you.
