GxK0o4L-1kij It's obvious that by owner they meant CEO don't be a sh---tard will you! It's obviously that our company will have to lay people off... When? Who knows oil is back down today so it's only a matter of time before they announce layoffs. There is lots of people twiddling their thumbs. If an oil a gas company isn't drilling then production declines therefor profits decline which will equals less jobs for people to have so lay offs will continue. If prices stay low then layoffs will be a part of his company for years to come until inventories come down.

I agree - there will probably not be layoffs over the next few months. However, this is the same ignorant wishful thinking that got COP into serious trouble. It is just 100% implicit - with oil prices way below $55/Bbl and a low rig count, COP is overstaffed. Layoffs will happen - it is just a question of when they will happen.

An owner? Conoco is a traded company you retard. As for contractors taking work... In some cases they are the only option as the talent pool is as shallow as a rain puddle in some departments. Now please go back to being stupid... No one would expect any less from you.

If I were the owner I would have cut office hours months ago, released contractors as we still have a ton around the office taking what little work is left from regular employees, I would have personally sat down and looked at how each employee added value to the team not just who is so and so's husband/,kid or neighbor......

Lol. Drink the kook-aid. ...... There will be another build in US inventories ... Trust me layoffs will take place with only three rigs across the entire US. If you were the business owner what would you?

Really no more layoffs??! There are so many excess employees with absolutely no work to do getting paid a very good salary, must be nice.
