Thread regarding Bank of America layoffs

I've been working for 46 years and this is the worst company I have ever worked for

Seems the lays off in each state was just under the limit so that they did not have to file a report. So sad the way they treat their employees. I'm still here but I sometimes wish they would let me go and just give me my severance package. I've been working for 46 years and this is the worst company I have ever worked for. Just trying to hand in there for another couple of years and then retire. My best wishes go out to all who were laid off.

It was a great place to work when it was Countrywide, but that all changed with the merger. BAC is the worst company to work for period! They don't care about the people. They just use people, abuse people and lie. Good luck to those still employed by this hell hole!

Prior to being bought by Nations Bank, BAC was very good to me and to some people I knew that worked really hard. Most of us started from the lowest pay grade (grade 3/4/5) in the mid-70 and were able to make a career as System Programmer, analysts, computer/network technician/engineer by late 80 and continue throughout the first few years after Nations Bank take over. These progression was through promotions along with bank sponsored local/outside training. I hope people who think BAC is screwing them up should put their frustration to the management and not on the the company.
