Thread regarding BP PLC layoffs

How can it be justified that BP is laying off employees and at the same time it is giving big bonus money and raises to employees across the board. Given that the environment at BP is known for its individualism and politician connections, not in it's work ethics. Employees have a mentality to always have an escape goat for any area that they work in. Here good hard working employees and contractors are let go because they are not willing to compromise their work ethics. They work and contribute to the company but due to the poorest management and lack of leaders I have ever seen these employees do not last. It is sad to know that upper management selects the same worthless individuals time after time to work on projects that use all the budget money and fail to successfully implement. And to top it off the project employees continue to work, get huge bonuses, raises and no consideration to why the projects continue to fail. Time to let this company go the way of the floppy disk. Bad business practices along with the worthless employees that fail the company time after time.
