Thread regarding Sears layoffs

I don't understand how death notices for SHC could make stock go up? I just know how it feels to watch it all die. It is so hard to NOT care anymore about your duties. New people only see what is now and don't care. I have to learn to not care because it will not matter anymore. It really is hard to not care.

If the price of the stock goes up when Sears announces store closings,you should see how sales double and triple when they have a liquidation sale. May be they should announce a closing each month,they later on say they changed their mind,now the store is staying open. It would be one way to increase sales!

so closing stores makes the shares go up. Stock market is so stupid. Company performance has nothing to do with anything.

Imagine how the stock would soar if they closed ALL the stores...think of the money they'd save

Went to replace a proprietary chain for a sears electric chain saw. They don't make it any more. Went to replace an 18 volt battery for my drill. It cost $69, I didn't buy it. Bought a new drill at home depot They changed the design of the 18 volt drill, but the battery for the new design is only $19.99. I will never shop at at sears again.
