FYI if not already aware: Eligible sabbatical payouts will occur on final paychecks (May 31, 2016) and are not included in the package. Exempt employees will lose/forfeit any unused vacation time, except employees in CA, IL and MA where law requires that unused vacation be cashed out.

For some states, employers must pay remaining vacation unless employees have been briefed in writing during onboarding that the employer's policy is to not pay remaining vacation.
I don't recall ever having received such information and couldn't find anything of the sort in my onboarding documents.
Anyone know the answer to this?
Either way it's kind of sh*tty to not pay remaining vacation days. But I guess Intel doesn't care what ex-employees think about it.
If in doubt, contact your state department of labor.
No, it's the payroll software, the payout is automatic based on your contact address. Change it to a relative at CA, IL and MA and it will payout for you.
@HAX2OP5-1nwj - if you're prior employer chose to then that's different. OR & AZ law does not require vacation payout.
i donno, I did it at another company and it paid out for me. I was pleasantly surprised.
If your employer address is not CA, then it doesn't matter. You will still lose vacation time if you are in OR or AZ (not CA or MA)
Here's a trick, change your address to CA. The payroll software will auto payout.
that's good to know.. how about the 1x multiplier on APB target, it that in final check too?
I sent an email inquiry to Transition Support and that was their response (copy/paste).
And how did you come into this good news?
Oh yeah... the check's in the mail!
