We have way too many time wasting managers trying to maintain their headcount even when they have nothing for them to do.
Management hired too many people, thinking that that was the way for them to keep their own jobs, but it just leads to having to lay people off in the long run.
Those employees could have been someplace else, doing something useful, building a pension (although that's largely a thing of the past) and getting ahead. Instead all Pepsi is, is just walking around, making it look like you're doing something.
Then managers come to employees to ask what they're working on, after which the managers will tell their bosses that it was their idea
